I operate an appointment only, one-to-one pet dog grooming service, accommodating up to 4 dogs from one household at any one time.
Pets are kept for the duration of their groom only. They are groomed at their own pace - never rushed. Humane handling techniques & patience ensure your pet's visit is as stress-free as possible. It is kitted out with specialist equipment & tools for pets' safety and welfare.
The studio can accept most breeds & sizes, including well behaved, biddable extra large & giant pet dogs.
Where necessary I utilise a variety of methods or workarounds to accommodate the special needs of very young, senior & nervous pets. I also hold a current canine first aid certificate.
Salon systems & supplies ensure you take home a clean, hygienic pet that also feels, looks & smells 'just groomed'!
Feel free to book a pre-appointment visit with your dog. You can look around the studio & ask any questions about the grooming process. It gives your dog the opportunity to explore the grooming environment before its groom. |
Grooming & your dog's welfare
Some dogs tolerate professional grooming as much as they 'enjoy' a visit to the vet.
If your dog is unaccustomed to regular professional (or home) grooming it may not be enthusiastic about the experience.
Nervous dogs require a lot of patience & consequently take longer to groom.
In some circumstances it is preferable to groom some dogs in the familiar surroundings of their own home.
In extreme circumstances it may be necessary to stop grooming a dog at risk of harming itself or the groomer.
